The awards are part of WoW-KL’s wider mission to revive reading as a force for thought, leadership, emotional resilience, creativity and nation-building.
From educators and publishers to book clubs, illustrators, young writers and community champions, the WoW-KL Awards honour those who help build a smarter, stronger and more thoughtful Malaysia.

Best Local Independent Publisher
For a Malaysian publisher contributing courage, quality and originality to local literature.
Most Influential Book Club
For a reading community that actively grows conversation, participation and belonging.
Social Impact in Literature
For work or advocacy that uses literature to create social awareness and positive change.
Best Book Cover Design
For a Malaysian book cover that demonstrates strong design, originality and market appeal.
Best in Book Illustration
For visual storytelling that enriches the reading experience and elevates the book.
Lifetime Contribution to Malaysian Literature
For long-standing contribution to Malaysian literature, letters, education or reading culture.
Special Jury Award
For exceptional contribution identified by the WoW-KL Awards committee and judges.

Public Nominations
Members of the public and the literary ecosystem submit nominations through the official form.
Review & Screening
Submissions are reviewed for eligibility, relevance and supporting information.
Shortlist Announcement
Shortlisted nominees will be announced before the festival to build awareness and community support.
Awards Ceremony
Winners will be recognised at the WoW-KL 2026 Awards Ceremony on 15 August 2026.
